What is the National Identity Card?

The Labradoian National Identity Card is an official document issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs & Citizenship. It is a compact, wallet-sized card bearing the citizen's name, citizenship number, and the seal of the Republic — serving as formal proof of Labradoian citizenship.

It is the most accessible Labradoian identity document, priced at £30 — lower than the passport — and is suitable for citizens who wish to carry proof of their Labradoian nationality without applying for a full passport.

Constitutional Basis

Labradoian identity cards are issued under Article XIV of the Constitution of the Republic of Labradoria, which grants the Republic authority to issue passports, identity cards, and travel documents, sets out the fee structure, and establishes the legal framework for issuance, validity, and revocation.

Identity cards may be refused or revoked if a citizen's citizenship is revoked under Article X, or where the President and Cabinet determine that issuance would be contrary to the interests of the Republic.
